No. Every Cyclotricity conversion kit includes a display as standard, so there is no need to purchase one separately. Front-drive kits come with a 3-level LED display, while mid-drive and rear-drive kits include a 5-level backlit LCD display. The display allows you to select assistance levels and view key ride information such as speed and battery status.
Replacement and upgraded displays are available if required, but everything needed to operate the kit is included in the box.
To maximise battery range, use lower assistance levels whenever possible, keep your tyres inflated to the recommended pressure, and avoid excessive use of full throttle on higher-powered kits. Regular charging, avoiding long periods with a completely flat battery, and storing it in a cool, dry environment can also help maintain battery health.
For the best results, smooth and consistent riding is generally more efficient than frequent stop-start cycling.

The legal bit In the UK, full-speed throttles are not permitted for road use under standard e-bike regulations. To make switching between riding environments easier, Cyclotricity throttles feature a simple plug-and-play connection that can be disconnected for road riding and reconnected where full-power throttle use is permitted. Unlike throttles capped at 6km/h, ours delivers your kit's full speed when you want it.
